Turn your own Lichess games into an endless puzzle stream.
Puzzle Rewind mines a Lichess player's game history for blunders and turns them into an interactive puzzle stream. Instead of solving puzzles from strangers' games, you train on the exact mistakes you made yourself — the fastest way to stop repeating them.
No. Enter any public Lichess username and start solving. Nothing is stored about you.
Your recent Lichess games are analyzed for moves that caused a large drop in your win probability. Each blunder becomes a puzzle: find the move you should have played.
Yes. Pick a time control — Bullet, Blitz, Rapid or Classical — and puzzles are mined only from games at that speed. It's useful if you play a lot of bullet, where blunders are usually clock scrambles rather than real mistakes. Switching between time controls is instant.
Games that Lichess has already analyzed turn into puzzles instantly. For the rest, we run our own Stockfish engine in the background — up to 40 games per search, within a fair daily budget that keeps this free service free. Those puzzles appear as soon as the engine finishes; if a big backlog hits the daily limit, search again tomorrow and it picks up where it left off.
Every search shares one Stockfish engine that works through games one at a time, and as a free service we cap how much analysis runs each day. A progress banner shows how far along your games are, and puzzles appear the moment they're done — keep solving in the meantime. If you'd like analysis to get faster, the little coffee button in the corner genuinely helps pay for more engine time.

Thank you so much to everyone who uses Puzzle Rewind. And a special thanks to these chess players, who took the time to suggest how the site could be better: ShreySunildev, PrefabShangrila and Diceroller_is_Fire.
